Most of us could find our way home without a compass. That isn’t really the point of this one.
The compass rose is engraved directly into acacia wood, with your home’s GPS coordinates following the curve of the design. Your city and state sit underneath, giving those numbers a name most people will recognize a little faster.
What makes this piece personal is its precision. Those coordinates don’t point to a general area or even just a hometown. They mark one particular place on the map.
That makes it especially fitting for a new home, but new isn’t required. You might choose the house you’ve lived in for years, the family cottage everyone heads to in summer, or another place you still think of when someone says “home.”
Acacia wood has plenty of variation in its grain and coloring, so each engraving interacts with the wood a little differently. We engrave your location individually rather than using a stock design with personalization added as an afterthought.
