Where we belong becomes part of how we see ourselves. Sometimes that connection is tied to a hometown. Other times, it comes down to one very specific spot on the map.
This wall hanging was designed around that sense of identity. Your family name takes center stage, while the city and state give it a place. The coordinates narrow that place down even further, marking the exact location that belongs to your family.
The directional N and W are part of the coordinate design, giving the piece its bold, graphic look without taking attention away from the details that make it personal.
Each one is made from natural acacia wood, and the grain will vary from piece to piece. The lettering and coordinate elements are layered onto the wood, creating dimension and contrast against the natural background.
When the address is new, putting the family name beside those coordinates makes it feel a little more personal. But a new address isn’t required. The location could just as easily be a longtime family home or another place that has become part of who you are.
There’s something grounding about being able to point to a place and say, this is ours.
And maybe that’s a little bit of what identity is about.
